A Wool Poem

They lied to us

here in the down deep

Lies and lullibies to help us all sleep

They tunneled deep down

down in the ground

No more life up top…no more sound

Nothing but barren land

They’ve killed it all

Lies over alibies to prevent the fall

People lost and secrets discovered

One woman comes to save the day

One woman like no other.
